Newly promoted outfits Chippa United who rocked up into the PSL with a rush just after 3 years in the professional soccer, sacked their coach after 2 games. Manqoba Mngqithi who was appointed head coach during the preseason was sacked last night after his second loss at the hand of Free State Stars, as they were beaten 2-0 after losing their first game to Sundowns as they brushed them off 1-0. Manqoba Mngqithi made his mark in South African football during his spell at Golden Arrows even winning his first major cup when they beat Ajax 6-0 in the MTN final back in 2009. He then moved form Arrows to another Durban team Amazulu where he did not have a great season as a coach until he decided to part away with the team.
It is very sad to be sacked after only 2 games, atleast they should have let him to play for the third game before they can take a decision of letting him go.
ReplyDeletei do not know what to call,Chippa united is still new at the PSL to adapt to the high level of football which marked by competition, i think he deserve a chance because if you may look the games he played against are big teams.
ReplyDeleteeix it is painfull shem, just aftr two game u get sacked
ReplyDeleteI don`t think they did the right, they should given him atleast two more games.I mean you can`t just fire a coach after losing only two games, that`s rediculous.
ReplyDeletei think he should be given more chances before they can easily fire him
ReplyDeletei also think that with time they would have turned the conner for me it was too harsh now they want to bring back the very same coach they fired before bringing in Manqoba if they did not trust in him before what has changed now
ReplyDeleteI dont think doing away with Manqoba Mngqithi was a good move on the part of Chippa united, seeing it has only being two games and they are also causing confusion to the players and their style of play.
ReplyDeleteto make things worse they went to the very same coach they fired we they fired as they were promoted to PSL the very same guy they did not trust his experience as a coach i think they shuld have went for someone with the PSL experience
ReplyDeletethey should give him a chance to explain himself before firing him.
ReplyDeleteI believe everyone should be given the chance to prove themselves before they get fired but i guess in soccer things work differently.
